My first Porcelain, and a new and exciting collaboration… My journey into the world of porcelain was ignited when I crossed paths with Tondo Fiorentino, a Luxury Porcelain Company in Florence. Collaborating with a luxury porcelain company that upholds the most traditional techniques felt like a natural fit. Each piece is meticulously crafted in the “Antiche Officine di Calenzano, in Firenze” preserving the rich legacy of Florentine craftsmanship. Tradition and modernity have long distinguished Tuscan art, and here, through the intricate process of shaping, firing, and glazing, I find myself immersed in a dialogue with centuries of Italian cultural heritage, navigating the delicate yet enduring nature of this medium. The choice to create a large platter is intentional, as it allows me to transcend the boundaries of conventional canvas, infusing my work with a sense of grandeur and timelessness. This decision is deeply intertwined with my artistic philosophy, which places emphasis on the power of community and shared experience. The platter, traditionally used for serving, symbolizes unity, nourishment, and connection.
